Overview
When John Faulkner set out to invest in new farm infrastructure, the focus was clear: build something that would perform well long term, stand up to the demands of the farm, and be done properly from the start.
Located in Culverden, Canterbury, this newly completed composting barn is an impressive addition to the farm system. At 108m long by 51m wide, the barn has been designed to support a 500-cow herd, giving the farm a practical, sheltered environment to better manage cows, feed, bedding and seasonal conditions.
For John, this was not simply about choosing the cheapest option. It was about investing in a structure that would deliver long-term durability, performance and confidence. A “do it once and do it properly” approach.
A great result in Culverden
This Culverden composting barn is a strong example of practical farm infrastructure designed to support both the current needs and future performance of the farming operation.
A special thank you to John Faulkner for trusting Aztech with the design and supply of your new composting barn. It has been great to see this project come to life.
