One of two barns on Karihome's site in Taupiri, Waikato is 84m long and 46m deep, covering 3,864m². It is framed with Futura box-beam rafters on timber pole columns, with a roof pitch of 5° rising to an apex of 5.912m, with a knee height of 3.900m.

Barns keep the herd sheltered from Waikato's wet winters, giving them a warm, dry space to feed and rest year-round and supporting steady milk production regardless of the weather outside.
