This 1960 m² composting barn is built to a 14-bay gable configuration, each bay 7 m-wide, giving an overall length of 98 m across a 20 m depth. The structure uses Futura Steel Box-Beam rafters, purlins and girts on H5-treated timber pole columns, with eave heights of 4.55m rising to a 7.8m apex at an 18-degree roof pitch.

This composting barn gives the herd a dry, sheltered environment to bed down in, supporting better cow comfort through the wetter months. A ridge vent running the building's full length keeps air moving through the bedding area, helping maintain the airflow composting barns rely on for effective bedding management.
